🔍 Summary of the Role

The Product Testing Communications team specializes in translation and interpretation for Game Quality Assurance, ensuring accurate and efficient communication between our testing teams and Japanese partners. The team supports technical specifications, product design, business development, strategy, and other critical areas of our operations.

📝 Description of Duties

  • Lead a team of bilingual communications coordinators, providing support and guidance.
  • Perform written and verbal translations related to software development, including bug logs, correspondence, design documents, market research, and white paper testing documents.
  • Identify, document, and analyze opportunities for efficiency improvements within the group and department.
  • Monitor and evaluate team metrics, assisting in forecasting future departmental needs and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement initiatives, driving innovation and personal development.
  • Develop and maintain feedback and monitoring programs for staff performance.
  • Observe daily workflows and initiate action-driven discussions with supervisors for process enhancements.

🎯 Summary of Requirements

  • At least five years of experience translating and interpreting Japanese and English.
  • Minimum of two years leading a bilingual team.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-group collaboration capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese culture and business protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential environment with shifting priorities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Nintendo products.
  • Proficiency with PC tools, including MS Office suite and test management software; quick learner of new programs.
  • Advanced skills in diverse work processes, typically acquired through extensive experience and training.
  • Degree in International Marketing, Business, Relations, Japanese/English Literature, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English, with native fluency preferred.

Additional Information 📌

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. The role is hybrid, based in Redmond, WA, requiring regular onsite presence following division guidelines. This position is not open to fully remote applicants.
