Tri-C Is Hiring An Adjunct Faculty Foreign Language

Job Responsibilities
As an adjunct faculty member, you will:
- Teach a comprehensive range of courses in Japanese language, literature, and culture.
- Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities to meet course outcomes.
- Develop course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Evaluate and grade student work, including class activities, assignments, papers, and exams.
- Maintain and submit attendance records, grades, and other required documentation by deadlines.
- Be available to support students through coaching and mentorship.
- Participate in periodic meetings with supervisors, divisions, or college staff related to teaching, training, and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Japanese, or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate-level course hours in Japanese.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Excellent organizational abilities and responsiveness to community needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Japanese.
- Previous teaching experience.

Additional Details
