Accounting Services Associate

Become an integral part of our team, overseeing essential financial processes within the Japan region, ensuring precision and efficiency at every step.

Job Purpose

The Accounting Services Associate will oversee the Record to Report process for the Japan region, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Accuracy: Enter bank transactions such as bank interest and charges with precision.
  • Cash Flow Management: Perform daily cash flow budgeting to maintain financial stability.
  • Currency Management: Maintain exchange rates and perform revaluations as needed.
  • Reporting: Prepare closing reports including ageing reports, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, inventory reports, incentive reports, forex revaluation, VAT reports, and more.
  • Fixed Assets: Prepare fixed assets registrars and process fixed assets postings.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post various general accounting journal entries, including payroll-related entries, banking journals, month-end inventory journals, withholding tax entries, accruals, deferrals, and prepayments across different expenses.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, tax accounts, and fixed assets, ensuring accurate and valid financial data.
  • Master Data Maintenance: Maintain general ledger account master data to ensure data integrity.
  • Closing Activities: Perform month-end close and open periods effectively.
  • Year-End Closing: Complete year-end balance and reporting processes.
