Position Details

• Title: Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager
• Location: Oahu, Hawaii – (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities 🎯

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate headquarters in Japan
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Lead and mentor accounting staff while enhancing operational processes and internal controls
• Support business planning and financial analysis for management decision-making
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and travel business teams
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills 🎓

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• 7+ years of finance & accounting experience (preferred)
• 5+ years in a managerial or supervisory role (preferred)
• Business-level bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (spoken and written)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience working in international or Japanese companies is a plus
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
