Position Details

• Position: Accounting Assistant
• Location: Torrance, CA

• Employment Type: Non-Exempt
  • Start as a temporary employee with the possibility of full-time conversion after approximately 3 months.
• Wage: Up to $25/hr (DOE)
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (7 hours per day)

Position Summary

Our client, a Japanese company, is seeking an Accountant Staff on a Temp-to-Hire basis. This role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including AP/AR processing, data entry, and system updates. Ideal for candidates who are meticulous and detail-oriented, offering an excellent opportunity to develop accounting skills and evolve into financial statement preparation roles over time. 📈

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Enter financial transactions into accounting systems
• Support daily accounting operations and documentation management

System & Administrative Support

• Maintain accounting records using Great Plains and Microsoft Dynamics BC
• Assist with organizing accounting data and financial information
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data entry

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 years of accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with AP and AR processing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and consistently
• Comfortable working in a small office environment
• Experience with Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
• Japanese language knowledge is not required but basic understanding is preferred, as many team members speak Japanese 🇯🇵
