Job Overview 📋

We are seeking an experienced accountant or bookkeeper with prior knowledge of financial management, compliance standards, and proficiency in Korean or Japanese. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, familiarity with various software, and the ability to interpret complex financial data to support organizational success.

Responsibilities 📝

• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage X3
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards
• Perform account reconciliations including bank, ledger, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
• Conduct journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow records
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, LIHTC requirements, securities law, and governmental standards
• Support regulatory reporting and audit preparations by providing necessary documentation
• Collaborate on financial report writing and interpret data for management review

Experience & Qualifications 🎯

• Proven experience in corporate or public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and technical accounting principles
• Expertise with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting including SOX compliance and securities law (preferred)
• Experience with financial analysis and cash flow management
• Leadership or mentoring experience within an accounting team (a plus)
• Fluency in Korean or Japanese is preferred; bilingual skills are an asset
