Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Enterprise Account Manager to join our New York office. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach—passionate about helping major brands grow and transforming the industry. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, uncovering new opportunities, and ensuring mutual success for both Adyen and our clients. 🤝

In this role, you will:

  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships by earning trust and providing impactful payment insights.
  • Own the customer relationship, offering best-in-class service and strategic guidance.
  • Identify expansion opportunities, value-added products, and unique client needs.
  • Support a portfolio of Mandarin-speaking enterprise clients, conducting business discussions, executive communications, and strategic planning fluently in Mandarin.
  • Contribute to our momentum by facilitating understanding of customer needs and commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop robust relationships and coordinate with internal stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Lead client meetings and executive discussions in both English and Mandarin.
  • Build a global network within Adyen, collaborating across cultures and time zones.
  • Drive commercial negotiations with clients in English and Mandarin, meeting strategic and financial goals.
  • Provide expertise, education, and payment guidance as the human touch of Adyen’s product.
  • Position Adyen as a trusted partner, leveraging data to craft compelling stories for diverse markets.
  • Prioritize and execute initiatives across multiple accounts, ensuring alignment with global stakeholders.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, providing critical feedback to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing, commercial role such as account management, consulting, or payments industry experience from a merchant perspective.
  • Strong background in enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services.
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential for business discussions, executive communications, and strategic planning.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across all management levels.
  • Passionate about leading strategic payments conversations, delivering business reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, synthesize insights, and tell compelling stories.
  • Comfort in managing multiple projects and collaborating across departments to achieve results.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (optional but preferred).

Benefits

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $128,000 to $192,000. 💼
