Detroit City FC, Detroit’s premier professional soccer club, is expanding its team and looking for energetic, professional individuals to join us in building community and competitive success. We’re seeking a Bilingual Account Executive to help us grow our fan base and enhance our sales efforts both locally and nationally. ⚽🌍
Position Overview
As a Bilingual Account Executive, you will be instrumental in driving sales, serving current clients, and representing Detroit City FC in diverse communities. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, along with a passion for relationship-building within vibrant, multicultural supporter groups. This position reports directly to the Manager of Ticket Sales & Service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 📝
- Generate new business: Prospect, research, and close ticket sales leads through cold-calls, texts, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Community Representation: Attend networking and offsite community events to promote ticket sales and brand awareness.
- Event Participation: Join team and community events to foster engagement and sales opportunities.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a positive representative of Detroit City FC within local communities.
- Sales Goals: Meet and exceed established sales objectives consistently.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service during the sales process and follow-up at events.
- Revenue Maximization: Achieve daily activity targets to maximize ticket sales and revenue.
- Creative Selling: Develop and implement innovative strategies and programs to attract new clients.
- Team Collaboration: Build positive relationships with team members, contributing to a healthy team culture.
- Meetings & Training: Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions.
- Game-Day Duties: Support in-game responsibilities during team matches and events.
- Language Fluency: Communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Desired Qualifications 🎯
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, or related fields; or equivalent professional experience.
- Work Ethic & Attitude: Strong work ethic, team spirit, and enthusiasm for the success of the department and club.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PC systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database platforms.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Organization & Multitasking: Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver timely results.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
- Competitive Spirit & Motivation: Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Soccer Knowledge: Preferred but not required.
