Position Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the coordination and execution of software development projects between our US-based product team and offshore development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software development, coupled with excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. You will act as the key liaison between the product, customer success, and content teams (West Coast USA) and the development team (offshore), ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with a high degree of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Team Coordination: Manage and facilitate collaboration between offshore development teams and the US-based product/UAT teams. This includes daily sync-ups, sprints, and task management.
- Project Management: Lead project planning, execution, and delivery phases. Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using Agile methodologies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the development team and US-based stakeholders (Product, UAT, etc.) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and ensure the development team adheres to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate potential delays or issues to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the UAT team to ensure that delivered features meet quality expectations. Facilitate feedback loops between product owners and development.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management roles, ideally managing offshore development teams.
- Prior experience as a software developer (3+ years), with strong technical knowledge in software architecture, coding practices, and SDLC.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams spread across time zones.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, microservices, or modern tech stacks is highly desirable.
- Experience with AWS is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work effectively across time zones and manage distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
- Previous experience working with offshore development teams.
- Fluent in Hebrew preferred, but not required.

Technical Background:
- Worked as a software engineer early in their career, preferably with hands-on coding experience in web or back-end development.
- Transitioned to project management, overseeing large-scale software products from conception to delivery.
- Familiarity with Product Owner responsibilities and roles.
- Contributions to company road maps and prioritizations.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Proven track record of managing distributed teams and coordinating between multiple stakeholders (engineering, product, UAT, etc.).
- Successfully led projects where the team was spread across time zones, ensuring communication flowed smoothly and product objectives were met.
- Success managing senior' developers and resources.
- Ability to gather buy-in from varying and often conflicting opinions.
Product-Oriented:
- Strong product sense and ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
- Worked in close collaboration with product teams to refine product roadmaps and ensure alignment between development outputs and business needs.
Offshore Team Management:
- Experience working with offshore teams, particularly in regions with significant time zone differences, with a deep understanding of cultural and communication challenges.
- Demonstrated success in creating processes and structures that minimize time zone impacts on productivity.
