GBS Group, Inc. Is Hiring A Service Coordinator

GBS Group, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE need for a full-time Service Coordinator to join our team at our Dallas, Texas Office. GBS Group, Inc. was formed in 1979 and is one of the largest independent certified textile service companies in the United States with offices in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Chicago. We are a unique company specializing in office interior restoration and maintenance which includes carpet, fabric and leather furniture, workstation panels, tile and natural stone, wood furniture and flooring conditioning and repairs, and water emergencies. Our clients are predominantly Fortune 1000 and large regional companies. 

 

 

Essential functions/duties of the position:

 

  • Daily review of work orders & service schedule details with Service Technicians prior to dispatching to their respective job sites 
  • Maintain a Work-Order schedule to ensure efficiency and quality work.
  • Technician Dispatching - Contacting Service Technicians daily for work order assignments
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping Operational and Sales Teams informed of all critical issues which may keep the team from meeting daily and weekly work schedule.
  • Discuss with Operations and Sales Team to review project/schedules and discuss needed changes.
  • Daily update of work order information, involving monitoring production and review accuracy of work orders.
  • Managing Service Schedule on a Monthly and Weekly Basis
  • Contact clients to ensure appropriate approvals have been given before work is performed.
  • Assign appropriate supplies, equipment, etc. to jobs. This will include a specific focus on the materials and goods required for production. Inventory management and purchasing)
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Submit Daily Work Orders/Service Technician Time Sheets to accounting.
  • Coordination of New Technician onboarding & training with Operations Manager
  • Assist with Safety and New Hire Training of Service Technicians including manuals and onboarding.

 

 

Qualified candidates will have:

 

  • Bilingual – Speak English and Spanish
  • 2+ years’ experience minimum in project scheduling, service coordination, reporting & work order management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and set priorities while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills combined with well-developed, strong organizational skills, detail oriented and sound business judgement (Microsoft Office products including Word & Excel needed, Outlook & Oracle NetSuite preferred)
  • Positive Attitude with strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor, self-motivated, dependable, and goal oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • This is a full-time position – (8:30am-5:30pm Monday through Friday work schedule)
  • Work on site at the GBS Group, Inc. Carrollton, TX office. This is not a home job.
