Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data from news articles, reports from international organizations, NGOs, and security agencies concerning incidents of political violence.
• Input this information into an Excel template to ensure comprehensive coverage of events including protests and clashes.
• Maintain the quality, consistency, and reliability of collected data, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in the production of accurate quantitative information.

Required Skills

• A university degree in conflict studies, peacebuilding, international development, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Excel is imperative.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is essential; knowledge of Hebrew is advantageous.
• Previous research experience or a keen interest in conflict research or peacebuilding in Palestine or similar regional studies is highly favored.
• Familiarity with the political landscape and key stakeholders in the region.
• Ability to conduct desk-based research while adhering to deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong focus on detail and a capacity to embrace and integrate feedback.
• Access to a computer, reliable internet, email, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in conflict studies, peacebuilding, international development, or a related field.

Career Growth Opportunities

• Selected candidates will undergo comprehensive training designed to furnish them with the requisite skills for the role. The consultancy period extends from October 2024 to June 2025, with potential for extension dependent on performance and available funding.
