Department of World Languages and Cultures 🌐

Our department offers dynamic programs focusing on 13 languages, global cultural studies, and intercultural competence. We prepare students for success in a globalized world, with faculty engaged in innovative teaching and research that explore language, culture, literary theory, linguistics, translation, and film.

Position Overview 📝

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of part-time and limited-term faculty positions within the Department of World Languages and Cultures for the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions are semester-based and roles will be assigned based on departmental needs and candidate credentials.

Location: Georgia (Kennesaw and Marietta campuses)

Responsibilities 🎯

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in languages and cultural studies including American Sign Language, Arabic, Asian Studies, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and World Language Education.
  • Assignments will align with degrees earned and faculty credentialing guidelines.

Required Qualifications ✅

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in the specific language or a closely related field at the time of hire.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in a non-related discipline plus 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

  • Native or near-native proficiency in the target language(s).
  • Experience teaching world languages and cultures, especially in online or hybrid formats.
