Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interpreter/Translator proficient in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Chuukese, Anuak, Chatino and Arabic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality interpretation and translation services, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication between clients and stakeholders in diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, phone calls, and virtual sessions.
• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between parties speaking different languages.
• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interpretation tasks.
• Translation:
• Translate written documents, emails, reports, contracts, and marketing materials from one language to another while maintaining the original meaning and tone.
• Proofread and edit translated materials for accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Utilize translation software and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Client Interaction:
• Work closely with clients to understand their language needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Assist with cross-cultural communication to bridge any language or cultural gaps.
• Offer language support in legal, medical, technical, and business-related settings.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain detailed records of interpretation and translation assignments.
• Submit regular reports and updates to the project manager or supervisor.
• Stay updated with industry terminology, language trends, and cultural nuances.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field (preferred).
• Fluency in at least two or more of the following languages:
• Spanish
• French
• German
• Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
• Japanese
• Korean
• Hebrew
• Arabic
• Chuukese
• Anuak
• Chatino
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an interpreter/translator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology in legal, medical, technical, or business fields.
• Proficiency in translation and interpretation tools/software is a plus.
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• This position may be remote or on-site, depending on client requirements.
• Flexibility to work across different time zones, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate or salary is commensurate with experience.
